Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child will be christened at St James’s Palace on July 9, in a small ceremony for relatives and close family friends.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son will be 11 weeks old, after he was born on April 23 this year.

Royal christenings tend to be small and intimate affairs, with only immediate family and godparents usually present.

There are 24 titled members of the British royal family, but all are reportedly not to receive an invitation to Louis’ special day.

Bride-to-be Princess Eugenie is not expected to be in attendance, neither will any other royals, unless named as godparents.

Kate wore exactly the same designers for the last two christenings.

For four-year-old Prince George’s christening, she wore a creamy white Alexander McQueen dress with ruffle detail.

When Princess Charlotte, 3, was christened, Kate wore exactly the same combination of milliner, dress designer and shoe designer.

How will Prince Louis’ christening be unlike Princess Adrienne’s?

Sweden’s newest royal, Princess Adrienne Josephine Alice, was baptized in royal splendor at the Royal Chapel in the Drottningholm Palace, Stockholm, on Friday.

She is the third child of Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill and will join siblings, Princess Leonore, 4, and Prince Nicolas, 2.

The christening date also marked the royal couple’s fifth wedding anniversary and was also the same day Leonore was baptized in 2014.

Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and grandparents King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, all turned out for Adrienne’s big day.

The proud mother wore a £1,735 Giambattista Valli floral dress with a traditional flower crown

Princess Adrienne was baptized in the same gown worn by cousins Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel, and siblings Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas at their christenings.

The water used at the christening will come from a spring on Öland.

The Swedish royal court confirmed the six godparents Madeleine and Chris chose.

These included close friends of the couple and one of Chris’ nieces.

No members of the royal family were selected, however, Princess Victoria is godmother to Leonore, and Carl Philip is godfather to Nicolas.
