The haute couture gown was designed by British fashion designer Clare Waight Keller, currently the artistic director of Givenchy.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, said she chose to work with Ms Keller for her ”timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour”.
She looked the epitome of elegance as she showcased a sleek train shaped by a triple silk organza underskirt, and three-quarter edge sleeves.
The minimalist design was praised for its open bateau neckline, offering just a peak of the duchess’ shoulders while also framing her slender silhouette.

Meghan’s wedding dress, with its 16ft train and veil which was adorned with the flowers of the 53 commonwealth countires, is estimated to have cost a whopping £387,000.
An exact value for the royal wedding dress was not released, but it was estimated the dress could have cost anywhere between £200k and £400k.
A more precise figure of £387k was later mooted following analysis from fashion experts.

In comparison, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress is said to have cost £250,000, according to royal expert Kate Nicholl.
Speaking before Meghan’s wedding on May 19 this year, she told Entertainment Tonight: “Kate Middleton’s dress is rumoured to have cost £250,000.
“It was her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who paid for that bill.
“I think it is very unlikely that Meghan would spend more than that and in doing so try and upstage a future queen.

“I don’t think she’s going to want to get royal life off to a start where she’s criticised for spending something like £400,000 on a wedding dress.”
Meghan had largely been expected to wear a Ralph and Russo creation.
The fashion house is known for its glitzy and intricate dress designs with elaborate use of sequining.
But Meghan’s white dress was far more demure than anticipated although her platinum diamond encrusted tiara did add some bling.

One of the defining features of the duchess’ wedding outfit was her eye-catching 16 foot veil, deftly embroidered with the 53 flowers of Commonwealth countries.
In a trailer for a new TV documentary about the Queen aired last night, Meghan is shown appearing with her wedding dress before she married.
Touching the veil, she can be heard saying in the footage: “53 countries, oh my goodness, it’ll keep us busy.”

How much will Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress cost?
Rumours are rife Princess Eugenie, 28, will walk down the aisle at St George’s Chapel in a dress costing just as much as Meghan’s.
Eugenie has been tipped to wear a outfit designed by another British fashion stalwart, Stella McCartney.
Hamish Shephard, founder of wedding planning app Bridebook, has calculated the design could cost about £200,000 alone.
