The Shamrocks honoured former Victoria Shamrock great Kevin Alexander, retiring his number 26 in the rafters, cementing his legacy with the Shamrocks eternally.

Alexander amassed an incredible 797 goals and 1,384 points in just 300 games with the Shamrocks between 1979 and 1986.

Alexander lead the Shamrocks to two Mann Cup titles in 1979 and 1983. The Shamrocks also honoured the ’83 Shamrocks in the second intermission.

In terms of the game itself, the Shamrocks managed to solve Maple Ridge netminder Frank Scigliano, who has been air tight against the Shamrocks over the past two seasons.

The Shamrocks ball movement on Friday was on point, the chemistry between all of the players in green and white seemed to build as the game went on, and Victoria used their great teamwork to take down one of the top teams in the WLA.

The Shamrocks have now won four straight games, and they will look to keep that streak alive when they head to Burnaby to take on the Lakers this upcoming Friday.
