PS5 stock is still difficult to come by, but don’t give up yet, we’re bringing you all the latest updates as Sony promises more stock before the end of the year.
Pre-orders sold out in minutes earlier this year and lots of shoppers were left disappointed when forced to search online to buy the console on release day, due to non-essential retailers being shut.
Online retailers including Game, John Lewis, Amazon, Argos, Currys and Very found the PS5 selling out incredibly quickly and frustrated customers were met with website glitches.
There was also anger over ‘scalpers’ using ‘bot’ software to buy up all the stock.
However, Playstation made an announcement on their Twitter feed saying more consoles would go on sale, so there could still be some hope for getting a PS5 in time for Christmas.
Here are the latest updates from retailers on PS5 stock.
BT
According to the BT website they are currently sold out.
A message reads: “We’ve sold out of our current allocation of PlayStation 5. If you were lucky enough to order, delivery is expected around the 15th December.”
EE
EE had a limited number of consoles available to EE Pay Monthly customers last week, but they are now completely sold out.
They said in a tweet: “We are now sold out of our new allocation of PS5 consoles.”
Argos
The retailer said that they will not be getting any more consoles in stock.
A message on the website said: “Sorry, PlayStation®5 is currently unavailable. We will not have any further stock for the rest of 2020.”
John Lewis
A statement on the John Lewis website said: “Thank you to everyone who has visited us and placed an order for a PS5. We are now out of stock.
“Unfortunately, PlayStation 5 consoles will not be available for purchase at our John Lewis & Partners shops or from our contact centres.”
Game
Game did have some PS5 consoles available to pre-order, but these are all sold out now.
A tweet confirmed: “We are now sold out of all PlayStation 5 consoles. Thank you to everyone that has pre-ordered. If you have successfully placed a pre-order you will be notified by email updates on when payments will be taken.”
Curry’s
A note on Curry’s website said: “The new pS5 has now sold out. We are working tirelessly to secure more stock. Please continue to check this page for more updates.”
