Fans will even get a chance to recreate Joey’s cardboard box Porsche

A special Friendsfest UK tour has been announced to mark the 25th anniversary of the popular sitcom.

The fan event, which is being hosted Comedy Central, is set to call at Manchester’s Heaton Park from August 2 to 18, then Bristol’s Blaise Castle Estate from August 23 to September 1.

It will then to travel to Willen Lake, Milton Keynes from September 6 to 15, and finally London’s Kennington Park from September 20 to 29.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (March 13), and a ticket will cost £29 including a booking fee. Fans can also register their interest in the pre-sale now. For further information head to Comedy Central.

Alongside various sets from Friends, including the apartments and Central Perk, there will be a new cocktail bar and themed food stalls, new photo experiences that include the Thanksgiving floating heads and a quiz.

Fans will also get the chance to recreate Joey’s cardboard box Porsche on stage, recreate the show’s iconic title sequence and check out original memorabilia from the set.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston recently discussed the prospect of a Friends revival, and said that the three boys from the titular companions are preventing its return.

Speaking to James Corden on the Late Late Show, Aniston explained how Matt Le Blanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are seemingly reluctant on reviving the iconic sitcom, which finished in 2004.

“Listen, the girls always say we would love to do it again, and the boys are a little less excited about it for some reason — I don’t know,” she explained.

“And so, we’ve decided that we’ll just do … a remake of The Golden Girls in 40 years.”

Although all three are yet to respond to Aniston’s comments, LeBlanc explained why he didn’t favour the show’s return last year.
