In all seven states in which Publix operates, the company’s online reservation system will remain continuously open to book available appointments to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination, as long as we continue to receive vaccine doses and barring unforeseen circumstances. With this change, customers no longer need to wait for a specific day to make an appointment, and times will be added as they become available. However, appointments may not be available at all locations at all times.
The system is currently open for appointments in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia. Appointments for Publix pharmacies in Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee will be added to the system starting Monday, April 19, at 7 a.m. Eastern time for appointments beginning Friday, April 23.
Vaccinations are provided to eligible individuals ages 18 and older by appointment only, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. Individuals can use the online reservation system to learn if appointments are available at their nearby store. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.
Costs and insurance
Vaccinations are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Customers with health insurance will need to bring their insurance card to their scheduled appointment. Medicare members should bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
