Publix COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments: signups are now twice weekly

Sign-ups for the COVID-19 vaccine in Florida are now limited to two days a week at Publix.

The grocer’s online reservation system will no longer open on Mondays to schedule vaccination appointments in Florida, the company says.

A spokeswoman said more appointments will be available on Fridays instead of spacing them out over two days.

Sign-ups for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be on Wednesdays for appointments available Saturday and Sunday. The Moderna vaccine sign-up will be on Fridays for weekday appointments.

The Wednesday and Friday appointments open at 7 a.m. at publix.com/covidvaccine “as long as Publix continues to receive vaccine doses and barring unforeseen circumstances,” according to the company statement. “Appointments may not be available in every county during every scheduling opportunity.”
