Zara, who is Princess Anne’s daughter, is an avid rider, having competed in the Olympics including in London and most recently Rio.

Today Zara was pictured with an intense concentration as she rode a dark brown horse.

Zara looked ever the part in a navy riding jacket, white trousers and black boots.

Earlier today the Queen’s granddaughter opened up about the heartbreak she and her husband Mike Tindall experience following two earlier miscarriage.

The 37-year-old royal told BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent: “I think that’s the hardest thing in our situation, is that everyone knew.

“And very much when things like that happen, normally it’s just your family and friends, but unfortunately everyone knew about it.

“Actually I had so many letters saying ‘I’m so sorry, we’ve been through the same thing’, which was incredible – and thank you to all those people.

“But it just showed how often it does happen and I have a very supportive family, Mike’s incredible – and it’s hard for the guys too.

“It’s very different for us because we’re carrying the child, but for guys I guess it’s kind of that helpless feeling, which must be incredibly high and horrible for them.

“At the end of the day they’ve still lost a child too.”

Zara announced she had suffered a miscarriage in November 2016, just a month after the pregnancy had been officially announced.

Then in July the royal revealed she had another miscarriage before she fell pregnant with Lena, who was born in June.

Zara and Mike Tindall also have a four-year-old daughter Mia.

The couple have won over the British public with their endearing down-to-Earth nature.

The Queen’s granddaughter and her husband are not afraid to show public displays of affection, just like any other ordinary couple would, even though royals usually uphold a set of etiquette rules.

They melted hearts at Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding, when Mike sensitively touched heavily-pregnant Zara’s baby bump during the service.

And the couple are not afraid to speak candidly.

Last month the royal spoke about getting back into the saddle after giving to birth to Lena

Ms Tindall said: “The first time around my body was in so much shock. It was like, ‘what the hell have you done to me?’

“But I’ve recently done a couple of competitions and it feels good actually.”
