The father-of-three made the revelation after he was given a pink satchel for the royal tot which was embossed with her name.
The Duke, who is celebrating his 36th birthday today, received the gift from Liverpool’s Leather Satchel Company during his visit to the International Business Festival.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, he said: “Charlotte will be obsessed with that – I’ll never be able to get it off her.”
The designers who made the bags, Keith and Gail Henshaw, said: “George’s bag is in his school colours, Charlotte’s mad about pink, the Duke said it’s her favourite colour. And Louis’s bag is a classic London tan.”
His only daughter obviously takes after her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, who loves to step out in an array of different styles and outfits.
The Duchess of Cambridge has previously said that Charlotte loves pink and she is often spotted in pink dresses.
There are even pictures of her as a baby wearing a pink cardigan to mark her first birthday.
Princess Charlotte wore a blue floral dress for the recent Trooping the Colour, which matched with Kate’s pale blue dress by Alexander Mc Queen.
The mother and daughter pair are often spotted wearing matching outfits and the outfits are often snapped up by mothers across the world after they are photographed.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have recently announced that the christening of their youngest child, Prince Louis, will take place next month at St James’s Palace in London.
