In an adorable interview, a newly engaged Prince William and bride-to-be Kate described how they met at the University of St Andrews.
The footage which has resurfaced shows the playful couple answering questions from interviewer Tom Bradby, who at one point asks if the rumour that Kate, now 36, had a poster of her handsome prince on her bedroom wall.
Before a nervous-looking Kate answers, Prince William jokes: “It wasn’t just one it was like 10, 20.”
Kate and the interviewer erupt with laughter before she appears to put her groom in his place.
She said: “He wishes!”
Then, she goes on to reveal she had the face – and particularly the body – of another man on her wall.
She said: “No I had the Levi’s guy on my bedroom wall, not a picture of William. Sorry!”
Quick-thinking William then jokes that it was a picture of him in Levi jeans.
The video has been viewed an eye-watering 5,700,000 times, since it was first uploaded in 2010.
November will mark eight years since he popped the question to her while on a trip to Kenya.
Speaking of what dorm life was like for the couple, William explained they also lived together before they were married.
He said: “We moved in together as friends and then because we were living together – we lived with a couple of others as well – and it just sort of blossomed from there really.
“We saw more of each other and hug out a bit more and did stuff so, yeah.”
Kate then said: “You liked my cooking.”
William, ever the joker, teases her saying: “Well your cooking was alright.
“It’s got better.”
The interview sparked a flurry of comments from royal fans.
One said: “William is like the perfect man. Handsome, smart, well educated, humble, with a great sense of humour (I can sense something a bit dark) and well – he´s a Prince.
“What else can you ask for really! Lucky Kate!”
Another added: “I think it’s cute how William wants to laugh the whole time because he knows how nervous Kate is. He’s so sweet to bail her out of questions when she doesn’t know what else to say.
“I think they both did a good job though.”
The couple married in April 2011.
