Meghan’s makeup techniques were revealed by Daniel Martin, a professional makeup artist and friend of the Duchess.
Speaking to PEOPLE, he said: “She’s gotten more comfortable doing her own makeup.
“She loves makeup and she’s good at it!”
Mr Martin described Meghan’s beauty regime at some length.
He said: “She likes a strong eye.
“Her brow is a lot more defined now. But it’s still her.
“If anything, she’s going to experiment with different tones, and now that she’s more tan she’ll use warmer colours.
“But she doesn’t stray too far from her technique, she’s very formulaic with her routine.”
However, it appears Meghan is not a fan of bold lipstick shades.
Mr Martin explains: “The one time she did a red lip, she just didn’t feel comfortable in it.
“She likes to talk and she’s not a fussy person, so she doesn’t want to have to worry about anything.”
He predicts Meghan will continue to do her own makeup when she tours Australia and New Zealand with her husband in October.
He noted: “They have so many engagements, so you have to stick with what you know and feel comfortable and confident in and just own it.”
Mr Martin is a celebrated makeup artist who works as a creative consultant for Honest Beauty.
In addition, he is a long-standing friend of Meghan and helped her prepare for her wedding to Prince Harry in May.
On Meghan’s wedding day, he noted: “She couldn’t have a ton of makeup because it would look so different in every variable.
“Less is more.
“It was literally skin care, a little bit of foundation selectively and concealer, but that’s when you really saw her skin come through.”
