John McCririck shocked fans with his dramatic weight loss during an appearance on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
Taking to Twitter to voice their concern, a number of people shared their thoughts on the racing pundit’s changing appearance.
“Hope John McCririck is really on the mend. Doesn’t look well at all,” wrote one, whilst another commented: “John McCririck looks so frail and ill. Such a shame #BBBOTS #BBUK.”
Following his appearance on the show, the 78 year old addressed his changing appearance after people commented that his clothes no longer fitted.
Brushing off people’s concern, John told The Daily Star: “I’m not dead yet.”, whilst he revealed he has had a “bad year” and a “rough time” mixed with ill health.
And speaking on This Morning to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the former Celebrity Big Brother star revealed he actually started losing weight in 2012 after her was sacked from Channel 4.
After presenting on Channel 4 as a racing pundit for over 30 years, he made the heartbreaking admission to having no purpose in life anymore and that he feels depressed.
John revealed: “You’ve got to be working to give you a purpose in life, and if you haven’t got that you wake up in the morning and you’ve just got This Morning to watch as the highlight of your day – as great as it is – but nevertheless, you feel like you’re lacking.”
