The Bachelorette

Becca Kufrin knows exactly what she wants. And what she doesn’t want. The 28-year-old publicist cut five men competing for her heart this week and moved on with just 12 guys remaining on The Bachelorette. After an additional rose ceremony that said goodbye to Ryan Peterson and Mike Renner, the brunette beauty awkwardly cut Jean Blanc from the competition during a tense group date, where the 31-year-old Boston colognoisseur declared his love for her. But when Becca realized that the feelings weren’t mutual, she ousted the snarky bachelor, who then retaliated by claiming that he never had feelings for her to begin with. “It’s not necessarily where I’m at,” Blanc said, trying to back peddle. “I just thought that’s what you wanted to hear.”  “You’re just saying things?” Becca replied shellshocked. The entire altercation threw the tearful Bachelorette for a loop and Becca is now struggling to move forward, not knowing who to trust.

America’s Got Talent

This week, new skill-sets spiced up the competition as Mel B hit the Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent. It was 15-year-old Boston student Amanda Mena who earned a one-way ticket to the live rounds after delivering a jaw-dropping vocal performance of Aretha Franklin’s (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman that brought the judges to their feet. “You have genuinely natural soul. That’s not an easy song to sing,” Simon Cowell said after she was done hitting the astonishing vocal runs. “This is an audition we are going to remember for a long time.”

World of Dance

Six more lucky dancers impressed the esteemed judging panel and moved on past the audition process on the World of Dance this week. Jennifer Lopez and her group of celebrity judges, including Grammy award-winning Ne-Yo and six-time Dancing with the Stars champion Derek Hough, approved the most talented dancers from The Qualifiers round to The Duels without much hesitation. The week’s standout performance belonged to Season 1 runner-up Eva Igo, who made a triumphant return with a steadfast determination to win the competition and the coveted $1 million prize this time around. The 15-year-old dancing phenom delivered an incredible performance to I Ran (So Far Away) by Hidden Citizens and made the panel believers once again, while earning the highest total score of the night with 95 points.

The Proposal

The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss debuted his new reality dating show this week, which consisted of 10 ladies competing to win the heart of one mystery man. The Proposal premiered as California-based police officer Mike Crowe searched for the woman of his dreams despite the awkward pageant-style competition and a motorcycle accident that previously took his right leg. The brave bachelor put himself out there, asking deeply personal questions about politics, sex and past relationships to his potential love-interests and eventually found a spark with 31-year-old realtor Monica Villalobos, who he immediately proposed to despite their hurried first meeting. “From the first time you stepped out on the stage, you were absolutely amazing. So as weird as this sounds, will you marry me?” Mike asked, before Monica promptly accepted.
