Celtic host Rangers in the latest instalment of the Old Firm rivalry.

Neil Lennon takes on Steven Gerrard in the managerial battle.

The visitors are one point clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, but Celtic do have a game in hand.

With both teams unbeaten so far, it presents a great opportunity for both sides to inflict a first defeat on their rivals in the title race.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When and where is the game?

The game will be played at Celtic Park in Glasgow on Saturday, October 17, in a 12.30pm kick-off.

How to watch online and on TV

You can watch the game live on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event with coverage beginning at 11:30am.

A live stream will be available for Sky subscribers on Sky Go or desktop.

Teams news

Hatem Elhamed and Nir Bitton have been ruled out for Celtic due to coronavirus protocol, while there are doubts over Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie.

Steven Gerrard will be without Joe Aribo, who is still not recovered from a long-term injury.

Gerrard joins call for game to be shown on free-to-air television

Steven Gerrard has backed Nicola Sturgeon’s call for the game to be shown free on television with pubs shut in Glasgow due to coronavirus measures. “I would encourage Sky Sports this weekend to make the Rangers v Celtic match free to view for supporters as a small but important contribution they could make to helping keep people safe right now,” said the Rangers boss.

“I certainly share the fans frustration because I know how desperate people want to watch their team, so it’s very difficult.

“They’re getting a lot of instructions and are being told what to do – but that’s very difficult when you have no access to the game.

“So I think people need to do more for them and maybe put this game on free of charge so they don’t have to leave their own homes.

“Of course the priority here is fan safety and I urge them to stay at home, stay safe, keep their families safe and do the right thing.

“But I certainly share their frustration because these people have probably watched the last 100 or 200 Old Firm games so it’s a very difficult instruction to take when you’re desperate to watch the team that you love.
