Meghan Markle has been seen out and about lately to celebrate Prince Charle’s birthday and Trooping the Colour.

She was also invited on a very important trip to Cheshire with the Queen, making her first royal escapade without her husband.

Most recently, she stepped out with Prince Harry on Saturday to attend the wedding of Princess Diana’s niece, Celia McCorquodale.

And to celebrate their one-month wedding anniversary, it is expected Meghan and Prince Harry will attend the races in their finest today.

Will Kate Middleton go to Ascot?

The Queen has supposedly invited Prince William and Kate to the Royal Ascot every year since their wedding in 2011.

The Duchess finally took her up on the offer in 2016, when she attended for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Kate also attended the races in 2017, so there is a good chance she’ll choose to keep the tradition going.

However, she is still on maternity leave after having her and William’s third baby, Prince Louis.

She has been seen out and about since having the baby, however, as she attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding and Trooping the Colour, so there is a chance she’ll take this opportunity to get out of Kensington Palace.

What is the dress code?

Royal Ascot dress code is strict, particularly for the Royal Family.

For the Royal Enclosure, women are required to wear dresses that fall on the knee or longer and straps need to measure one inch or greater

Women may wear trouser suits and jumpsuits, but they must be full-length to the ankle.

Hats or fascinators need to be worn.

For the men, they need to wear a black or grey morning suit, including a waistcoat and tie, top hat and shoes with socks.

What will Kate and Meghan wear?

For her Ascot debut in 2016, Kate wore a calf-length white lace Dolce & Gabbana dress with a matching white fascinator.

In 2017, she went for a white knee-length Alexander McQueen dress with sheer sleeves and a high, Victorian-style neck, paired with a large fascinator.

If she attends this year, she’s expected to keep her theme of white lace.

Meghan has been seen in a variety of outfits since her marriage.

Most recently, she was criticised for wearing an ill-fitting long-sleeved blue-and-white floral Oscar de la Renta wrap dress, with minimal makeup and her signature messy bun

However, the Duchess pulled it off with her usual grace, and Harry in his matching tie completed the couple’s look.
