The engagement of the Queen’s granddaughter, 28, and her wine merchant partner, 32, was announced by Buckingham Palace on January 22, 2018.
The statement said: “The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank.
“Her Royal Highness and Mr Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month.
“The wedding will take place in the Autumn of 2018”.
The date has since been fixed as October 12.
Who has been invited to Eugenie and Jack’s wedding?
Buckingham Palace today announced Eugenie and Jack plan to invite members of the public to their wedding – just like Harry and Meghan.
About 1,200 people will be available across Britain for well-wishers to celebrate in the castle grounds outside.
For Harry and Meghan’s wedding, 2,640 ordinary people were able to come along.
This figure included 1,200 people selected by regional Lord Lieutenant offices for people who had “shown strong leadership and those who have served their communities”.
Charities and children from local schools attended by Eugenie will be invited to the royal nuptials.
Eugenie and Jack will also mimic Harry and Megan’s big day in May by riding past crowds in horse-drawn carriage.
Tens of thousands of people amassed in Windsor to cheer on the newlyweds as they took their first carriage ride as husband and wife.
Eugenie and Jack’s carriage ride will be slightly shorter, passing through Windsor Castle’s grounds before turning onto Windsor High Street and returning back to the castle.
Who are the bridesmaids and page boys?
Eugenie, ninth-in-line to the throne, has a line-up of royal bridesmaids and page boys as well as a couple of celebrity ones.
Theodora Rose Williams, the five-year-old daughter of pop star Robbie Williams and Ayda Field is a surprise name.
Maude Windsor, Eugenie’s goddaughter, will also attend.
Her parents are Lord Frederick and Sophie Winkleman, the half-sister of Claudia Winkleman who may be better known to many as Big Suze from Peep Show.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the children of Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge are also confirmed.
