Prince Harry can be seen walking up to guests as he attempts to discreetly hide a samosa behind his back at wife Meghan’s launch of ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook’ yesterday.

Meghan Markle was hosting her first official lunch at Kensington Palace to promote the charity cookbook, which features a range of diverse recipes by women affected by the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire.

Perhaps thinking he’d got away with his samosa-stealing antics, he begins to talk to guests before doing a double-take as he sees a camera trained on him.

Prince Harry then flashes the camera his famously cheeky – and in that moment, slightly guilty – grin before turning back to attend to his wife’s guests, with tasty treat still firmly in hand.

Speaking at the Kensington Palace launch, his wife Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, told guests how privileged she felt to have worked with the women of Grenfell on the community cookbook.

The Duchess said: “I had just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women of the kitchen.

“Your warmth and your kindness, and also to be in this city and see in this one small room how multicultural it was.”

She added: “I’m so privileged to know you. I’m so excited to see the projects that you are going to continue to do in your own community, the community at large and also how you are going to inspire people globally by sharing your stories and your recipes.

“It’s so impactful. We can see just in a few days alone, and the book is not even out yet, what you have been able to do.

“That’s a testament to what this means to people and I am so proud of you.

“So, on that note, I know some of you have started eating – as you should – I would be the last one to want the food to get cold.

“So, please, enjoy a beautiful lunch and another round of applause for the women accompanying in the kitchen.”

The Duchess honoured her mother Doria as the inspiration behind the cookbook, dedicated to raising funds for Grenfell victims.

Meghan helped to prepare some of the food with the women from the local community, including the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre and the book’s publishers.

The Duchess wore a black knitted body, £98, from Tuxe, a label she has previously worn on royal engagements, paired with a £188 black pleated skirt from Misha Nonoo. The Saturday skirt is currently still in stock – although will be sure to sell out soon.

Meghan teamed her look with a blue coat by Canadian brand SMYTHE, and costs £1,186.
