Rockers Stone Temple Pilots will unveil their new frontman at an invitation-only event in Hollywood on Nov. 14.

The group has been without a singer since the late Chester Bennington quit the group in 2015 to spend more time with his main band Linkin Park and his family.

He stepped in to replace another tragic rocker, Scott Weiland, who was fired by the band in 2013. Weiland passed away from an accidental drug overdose in December, 2015, while on tour.

Talk of the group’s new frontman has been circulating for months, with one-time X Factor contestant Jeff Gutt and Filipino vocalist John Borja considered the front-runners. Gutt reportedly rehearsed with the group in May, while Borja recently applied for a U.S. work visa and has hinted at joining the band.

The upcoming SiriusXM gig at The Troubadour in West Hollywood will be STP’s first since they staged a one-off reunion performance with Chester in California in March, 2016.

Brothers and bandmates Dean and Robert DeLeo recently revealed they waded through 15,000 applications from wannabe singers.

“It was a big deal to go through all those submissions,” Dean said, “and there were some great people. It was just a matter of trying to find someone who really had all we were requiring of someone.”

He and his bandmates revealed they had found somebody “that fits the bill” last month (Oct17).

The group is currently promoting the 25th anniversary reissue of Stone Temple Pilots’ debut album, Core, which was released on Sept. 29.
