Sony stabbing: Police Arrest Suspect in London Attack

Police arrested a suspect in the attack at Sony Music headquarters in London Friday morning after two people were stabbed.

The incident was sparked by a dispute that broke out in the kitchens of the Derry Street offices, which also houses Simon Cowell’s record label Syco, according to the Evening Standard.

Armed police were then seen storming the building in the South Kensington area of England’s capital as offices went into lockdown.

Scotland Yard said that neither of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries. Evacuations were made “as a precaution” and officers remain at the scene, they added.

Sony later said in a statement: “Sony Music confirmed there was an incident at Derry Street resulting in the building being evacuated.

“Two members of the catering team were involved in a violent altercation. The incident is now in the hands of the Metropolitan Police.”
