A man who shot dead his heavily pregnant ex-wife with a crossbow in a “brutal and evil attack” has been jailed.
Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo, 51, will serve at least 33 years behind bars after being sentenced at the Old Bailey.
Sana Muhammad, 35, died when her ex-husband burst out of a garden shed and shot her with an 18 inch bolt, which pierced her heart.
The Old Bailey heard the killer planned to murder Mrs Muhammad and her husband Imtiaz Muhammad in Ilford, East London.
Mrs Muhammad was eight months pregnant with her six child, a son who was delivered by Caesarean section and miraculously survived after the bolt missed him by millimetres.
Jurors had heard how the victim had an arranged marriage to her killer in Mauritius on her 16th birthday
