Tongues are wagging that not only are Andrew and Fergie headed up the aisle, their eldest daughter is, too!
Just months after it was revealed Princess Beatrice was dating long-time family friend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 34, a multimillionaire property tycoon, the couple joined her parents on their official visit to Bahrain.
Beatrice and Edo (as friends call him) seemed “head over heels in love” to onlookers.
The outing came after they made their official couple debut in September.
“The timing is perfect for an engagement,” says a source.
“Beatrice must know he’s deadly serious about her, otherwise she’d shy away from the publicity. They’ve been dating in secret for some time now, and Beatrice is desperately in love with him.”
A long-time royal observer notes, “They may already be engaged, which would explain why Edo’s on an overseas family trip.”
But Beatrice would have been advised to hold off on making an announcement until well after the birth of Harry and Meghan’s baby so as not to upstage them.
“That’s not something the Yorks would have liked to hear, but unfortunately they are even further down the royal pecking order now and they just have to accept it.”
Beatrice and Eduardo were recently photographed together as they attended the Portrait Gala in March.
The pair dazzled as they entered the glamorous event side-by-side in their Sunday best.
The couple joined a plethora of A-listers on the night, rubbing shoulders with Beatrice’s cousin-in-law Duchess Catherine, who is the patron of the National Portrait Gallery and the guest of honour for the evening.
If their dazzling public debut was anything to go by, it looks like we’ll have another spectacular royal wedding for our viewing pleasure before long!
