And Sharron Davies, 56, was attending the 2018 BBC Sports Personality Of The Year at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham on Sunday as it emerged her identity had in fact been stolen by fraudsters.
The Olympic swimmer’s representatives insisted the profile was a fake, saying, ‘It’s not Sharron, it’s an imposter.’
The thrice married star was putting on a brave face at the event, embracing an edgy look as she took to the red carpet.
Former Team GB swimmer Sharron was dressed to impress in a black plunging waistcoat and a nude skirt with sheer lace detailing.
She teamed the look with black boots and dramatic tasseled earrings, wearing her hair back in a bun.
Her outing comes after it was claimed the swimmer had dived back into the dating pool by looking for love on mobile dating app Tinder.
The BBC pundit was alleged to have signed up for the dating app in a bid to find love again – but her profile listed her age as 45.
