Legendary boxer Mike Tyson returns for an eight-round exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 (11/28/20) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET, while the preliminary fights begin at 8 p.m. ET.
The fight between Tyson, 54, and Jones Jr., 51, was originally planned for September 12, but was rescheduled to be held in the Staples Center arena in Los Angeles. Fans won’t be in attendance for the event, but the fight card features seven fights, including a bout between YouTube Jake Paul and former NBA player Nate Robinson.
Tyson hasn’t fought since 2006, when he participated in a four-round exhibition match in Ohio against Corey Sanders. Tyson’s professional record is 50-6 with 44 KOs — he is best remembered for starting his career 37-0, with his tremendous power delivering 12 first round knockouts in his first 19 fights.
Roy Jones Jr. has a career record of 66-9 with 47 KOs; his last fight was a 2018 decision win over cruiserweight Scott Sigmon. Jones Jr. was one of the most decorated fighters of the 1990s and won championships in five different weight classes over the course of his career. The Boxing Writers Association of America named Jones Jr. the best fighter of the 1990s.
