JAMES Bond will become a dad in upcoming film No Time To Die.
The latest installment of the Bond franchise could see the biggest change in the character yet if rumours are to believed.
Last week a call sheet from the production (which tells the actors their filming schedule) went up for sale on eBay.
The document describes a scene shot in southern Italy last year, which featured Bond’s love interest Dr. Madeleine Swann, played by actress Lea Seydoux, 00 agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) and a child called Mathilde, played by five-year-old Lisa-Dorah Sonne.
The scene describes all three characters being piloted to safety by Nomi with an island in the background.
Insiders believe this is proof that Mathilde is the child of Bond and Dr Swann. Insiders speaking to The Mirror said
“Making him a father opens up a whole new world in terms of drama and story development, Bond finding out he is a father is integral to the plot.”
The storyline is thought to have been worked on by Flea-bag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge after she was hired to jazz up the script – believing Bond needs to be updated for the 21st century.
It is believed that this will be the last outing for Daniel Craig in the iconic 007 role. The actor, now 52 believes the time is right for a new face to take on the role.
