Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in classic comedy Happy Gilmore, has been arrested for drunk driving.
The 62-year-old actor crashed his Porsche into a highway embankment on Saturday night (October 28), in Lake Arrowhead, California.
As TMZ report, the actor told police about his Happy Gilmore role, hoping to avoid arrest because of his relative celebrity status. Instead, police took him into custody and charged him with drink driving. This is McDonald’s second DWI arrest, after an initial arrest back in 2013.
Meanwhile, Happy Gilmore star Adam Sandler revealed back in April that his two children aren’t really fans of his movies.
“They beg to see them,” he revealed as part of an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show. “They’re like, ‘Please, it’s not fair! Let me watch your movies. Those people always yell things at you on the street. I don’t know what the heck they’re talking about’.”
However, Sandler admitted that films like Grown Ups and Jack And Jill don’t hold his daughters’ attention. “I’d say about 20 minutes in I see them tuning out, and then I hear them,” he added. “They’re nervous to say it, but [they’re] like, ‘Can we watch something else?’”
