The UK coronavirus death toll has risen by 317 today.
NHS England reported 236 COVID-19 hospital deaths occurring over 12 dates. 192 were reported last Thursday.
Wales recorded 1,272 new cases (people positive) giving a total of 56,927. 30 new deaths were reported, giving a total of 1,969.
12 further deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland, bringing the total reported by the Department of Health to 752.
Scotland has recorded 39 deaths from coronavirus and 1,216 positive tests in the past 24 hours, Nicola Sturgeon said.
The First Minister said the death toll under this measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – has risen to 2,966.
Speaking at Holyrood ahead of First Minister’s Questions, she said 69,660 people have now tested positive in Scotland, up from 68,444 the previous day.
