The number of people to die from coronavirus in the UK has risen to 23,363.
England has seen a further 352 hospital deaths from coronavirus in the past day.
A total of 1,515 people have now died of coronavirus in hospital in Scotland, an increase of 40 deaths from Thursday.
Another 17 people have died in the past day in Wales, bringing the country’s total deaths to 925, while 18 more deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland.
The number of deaths has fallen on the previous day, when England recorded 391 hospital deaths, Scotland reported 60 deaths and 22 were recorded in Wales.
The falling number of deaths come after Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed on Thursday that the UK is finally “past the peak” of the coronavirus outbreak.
“We are on a downward slope,” he told media, adding that at no stage has the NHS been overwhelmed.
Science and health experts have stressed the importance of passing through a “peak” in infection cases before social distancing measures can be eased.
Mr Johnson says the UK can now say it has achieved this.
