The NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that 23 people have now passed away at the Trust, having tested positive.
Details have been released of a woman who died on Friday 10th April and a man who died yesterday, Saturday 11th April.
Both of them had underlying health conditions.
A spokesperson for the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said:
“Sadly a total of 23 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died at Salisbury District Hospital.”
“One woman in her seventies with pre-existing health conditions, died on 10th April.”
“One man in his sixties, also with pre-existing health conditions, died on 11th April.”
“Our thoughts and condolences are with the patients families and friends at this difficult and distressing time.”
In England, latest figures from the Department of Health (as of 5pm Saturday 11th April) show that there have been a total of 9,594 people who have died in hospitals, having tested positive for Covid-19.
