Latest figures show a further 717 people have died after contracting coronavirus in the UK, bringing the total to 11,329.
The Department of Health figures, which are not as up-to-date as ones from the NHS, say there have been 11,329 deaths in hospital as of 5pm on Sunday, April 12 – an increase of 717 on the day before.
It also confirmed there have been 88,261 confirmed cases in the UK. A total of 290,720 people have been tested, of which 14,506 tests were carried out on Sunday.
NHS England announced on Monday it was recording 667 new deaths for the country, of which 118 occurred on Easter Sunday and 537 took place between April 1 and April 11.
The remaining 12 deaths occurred in March.
As of 9am 13 April, 367,667 tests have concluded, with 14,506 tests on 12 April.

In Northern Ireland, a total of 124 patients have died after testing positive for coronavirus – an increase of 6 further deaths from figures reported 24 hours earlier.
Health authorities reported 76 new confirmed Covid-19 cases as of 9:15am on 13 April, bringing the total number of cases in Northern Ireland to 1,882.
