Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to address MPs in the House of Commons later today over a second lockdown.
The Prime Minister announced on Saturday (October 31) that a new month long lockdown would come into place across England from Thursday, November 5, to combat the rising number of coronavirus cases.
Under the new restrictions, pubs, gyms and non-essential shops will be set to close. However, unlike the national lockdown in March, schools, colleges and universities can remain open.
MPs will vote on the proposals on Wednesday (November 4) and, if approved, the new measures will be introduced at 00:01 on Thursday, November 5 and will last until Wednesday, December 2.
The Prime Minister is set to address MPs in Parliament today to win support.
