An employee has reportedly been jailed in London for eight months for the theft from Buckingham Palace of dozens of medals, signed photographs and other items.
The 37-year-old admitted three counts of theft, PA news agency said on Monday evening.
Police had discovered a “significant quantity” of stolen items during a search of his quarters at the palace.
The man sold the stolen goods, including two prestigious medals and a photo album of the royal state banquet for US President Donald Trump, well below their value on Ebay.
He had worked for the palace’s catering staff as an assistant since 2015.
Some of the goods were worth between 10,000 and 100,000 pounds, PA reported.
