The 92-year-old monarch looked healthy and beaming at the ancient Ceremony of the Keys event in Edinburgh.
During the event, which saw the Queen being offered the keys to the city under a military guard of honour, the monarch was radiant in a yellow coat.
She wore it with a coordinated yellow hat sporting blue and yellow decorations, a floral dress and white gloves.
The Edinburgh event marked the beginning of Holyrood Week, when the monarch will visit various regions in Scotland and meet royal supporters at Holyrood Palace.
The cemony of the keys represents a symbolic ritual between Scotland and the British monarchy.
Edinburgh Lord Provost Frank Ross offered the Queen the keys to the city, which she must return, entrusting their safekeeping to Edinburgh’s elected officials.
This touching ceremony follow last week’s ill scare that saw the Queen forced to cancel her visit to London’s St Paul’s Cathedral on Thursday.
The event marked the 200th anniversary of the Order of St Michael and St George, and was attended by an array of celebrities and royals, including the Duke of Kent Prince of Edwards and US actress Angelina Jolie.
On her illness, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “The Queen is feeling under the weather and has decided not to attend this morning’s service at St Paul’s Cathedral marking the 200th anniversary of the Order of St Michael and St George.
“Her Majesty will be represented by The Duke of Kent as Grand Master of the Order.”
