The Queen had been standing to attention for 15 minutes before the US president finally arrived.
In 26 degree heat, the Queen patiently waited for Mr Trump, whose arrived by helicopter.
Twitter users have already accused Mr Trump of disrespect to the world’s longest-serving monarch.
One said: “You do not keep the Queen waiting.”
Another Twitter user said: “Trump is taking the ****, The Queen is just stood there waiting.”
A third said: “92-year-old Queen has been standing for 15 minutes awaiting Trump.”
And a fourth blasted: “How dare he!”
