Prince Andrew’s ex-wife was blacklisted by many members of the firm back in 1992 when pictures emerged of the redhead receiving a toe-sucking from oil tycoon John Bryan.

Prince Philip is thought to be so upset at the sex scandal and the subsequent embarrassment to the Royal Family he will struggle to be in the same room as her at Princess Eugenie’s upcoming wedding to Jack Brooksbank.

But sources close to the duchess warn royal family members they will just have to “get on with it” as Sarah makes a return to the spotlight.

An insider close to Princess Eugenie said: “There’s a lot of excitement about the day. Sarah and Andrew are just thrilled Euge is getting married and they are all very much in the planning stages at the moment.

“Sarah is being very hands-on, but in a great way, and Eugenie wants her mum to be a big part of it all and will make sure Sarah is included in every aspect.

“Her feeling is the other royals will have to get on with it.”

The Duchess of York, also known as Fergie, and Prince Andrew are said to be organising an evening reception for the Royal Wedding in the grounds of Royal Lodge, their family home in Windsor.

Sarah has not been an official member of the Royal Family in 20 years but still shares a residence with her ex-husband.

The pair, who have two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, divorced in 1996.

A source told Vanity Fair: “The plan is for a marquee to be set up in the grounds and dancing late into the night.

“Eugenie and Jack are planning the whole thing but Sarah and Andrew are very involved. Sarah is bringing a very eclectic and exciting guest list to Windsor.”

Eugenie’s grandfather Prince Philip has never forgiven the Duchess of York for the series of scandals that she has put the family through since her 1992 affair with a Texan billionaire.

It consequently paved the way for Sarah’s exit from the royals in 1992 and her relationship with her in-laws, particularly the Duke of Edinburgh, was left in tatters.

Sarah Ferguson was staying at Balmoral when the images were published, and the Windsors came across them in the morning newspapers at the breakfast table.

Philip was said to be livid when pictures emerged of the bubbly red head getting her toes sucked by the oil tycoon, who she had described as her financial advisor.
