Speaking in the upcoming ITV documentary Queen of the World, the 92-year-old monarch’s chef Mark Flanagan said the Queen has asked for the soup, called callaloo, to be served more often.
The monarch was introduced to the recipe, which includes chilli peppers, this year when a group from the Caribbean cooked a number of dishes in Buckingham Palace’s kitchens.
Jared Forbes, from the Bahamas, said it was to give “a little idea of what we eat at home”.
Mr Flanagan described the callaloo soup as an “absolute sensation”.
He said: “A number of the Caribbean dishes were particularly well received.
“The callaloo soup was an absolute sensation. I had email after email telling me that it must now feature more regularly.”
The revealing documentary, which airs on Tuesday, looks at the Queen’s role as head of the Commonwealth.
In another clip, the Queen bursts into laughter after her 2017 Christmas speech is interrupted by the sound of birds singing in Buckingham Palace’s gardens.
The Queen is delivering the speech when a member of staff asks her to start again due to the noise.
Ever the professional, the UK’s longest-serving monarch takes it in her stride.
And Meghan Markle, who is settling into royal life after marrying Prince Harry in May, also appears in the programme.
The Duchess of Sussex speaks about her wedding outfit, which will be shown at a new exhibition, months on from her big day.
She says: “It’s nice to see it again. It’s beautiful.”
Meghan reveals that a piece of the dress she wore on her first date with Harry was sewn into her wedding gown for her “something blue” part of the traditional rhyme.
And the Duchess says that she did not see her completed veil, which featured flowers from all 53 Commonwealth nations, until the morning of the wedding.
She says: “We had two or three meetings talking about sketches and different ideas of how this could really come to life.
“We knew we wanted it to be very delicate, but then after that point, I just said I trust her implicitly with what she did, and I didn’t see it really until the morning of, so this is my first time seeing the veil like this.”
Queen of the World is on ITV at 9.15pm on Tuesday.
