The two Duchesses always look pristine and flawless when they attend royal engagements, smiling and waving at cameras while photographers snap away.
Meghan and Kate are frequently spotted wearing gorgeous designer dresses that flow elegantly below the knee, not revealing too much skin incase a slip up gets caught on camera.
Despite these precautions, the pair are still not immune to tripping up and having embarrassing fashion moments.
The Queen has tiny lead curtain weights sewn into the hems of her outfits, to prevent them from getting caught in a gust of wind – but the younger royals have a different tactic.
Etiquette expert Myka Meier said that Meghan and Kate wear a special item underneath their dresses to prevent any fashion slip up.
The pair wear bodysuits under their clothes to “increase static” so their dresses stick to their bodies, so their clothes do not fly up in the wind.
Ms Meier told the Sun: “Often they wear body suits and clothes that actually increase static so it’s much hard for something to fly up.
“So you have an under garment that is almost like a body suit that is one tactic that is used.
“I know when I went to finishing school we were taught that when you are on the tarmac, if you do not use weights or heavy weighted material, you make sure it will not fly up by wearing under garments that keep the fabrics connect to your body.”
Meghan also has another fashion trick up her sleeve when it comes to footwear.
The Duchess of Sussex often wears shoes that are too big too fit, startling royal fans across the country who are confused over Meghan’s choice of footwear.
However, fashion experts have said there is a reason behind this.
They believe Meghan, along with other celebrities, pick shoes that are too big for them to prevent their feet from blistering.
Bigger shoes also allow extra room for feet to swell up if you are standing up for a long periods of time, which Meghan often does during royal engagements.
The Duchess is often seen wearing high heels, to take away the height difference between her and her husband, Prince Harry.
This is to avoid creating an “unbalanced” look in photos when the royal couple stand next to each other.
Celebrity photographer Glenn Gratton said: “Couples with a big height difference look slightly unbalanced in pictures , and often the smaller of the two ends up looking even smaller and is constantly looking up at their partner.
“Rod Stewart and his wife Penny have a large gap but this is minimised by Rod wearing Cuban heels and Penny not wearing super high heels.
“In the case of Harry and Meghan she will be wearing high heels to maximise her height and shorten the gap if possible.”
However, Kate has been spotted wearing flat shoes on many occasions, unlike Meghan.
This is because Kate is 5ft 10, taller than the average British woman and not that much shorter than her husband, Prince William who is 6ft 2in tall.
On several occasions, the Duchess of Cambridge was seen wearing sneakers and sportier footwear during royal engagements.
