The royal bride will wed her fiancé Mr Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel, the same beautiful venue which hosted Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in April.
In their first joint interview with Vogue, Princess Beatrice said her sister was “amazing” and a “very modern bride” – and said she had not turned into a typical “bridezilla”.
Speaking about her approaching wedding, the 28-year-old royal said: “I’m not stressed at all. It’s nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect, but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”
The bride said that she would be banning plastic at her wedding to Mr Brooksbank after her work with Project Zero, an environmental charity that protects marine life.
Princess Eugenie’s wedding reception will be held at her family’s home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
The royal couple have announced that 1,200 people will be welcomed into the grounds of Windsor Castle on their wedding day.
During the interview with the magazine, Princess Beatrice said that despite being royals, they are “real”.
She said: “It’s hard to navigate situations like these because there is no precedent, there is no protocol.
“We are the first: we are young women trying to build careers and have personal lives, and we’re also princesses, and doing all of this in the public eye.
“We want to show people who we are as working, young, royal women, but also not to be afraid of putting ourselves out there.
“Nowadays it’s so easy to recoil when you see a perfect image on Instagram – but it’s important that it’s real. We’re real.”
The Queen’s granddaughters are clearly very close as siblings and spoke to the fashion magazine about always being there for each other.
Speaking about one occasion where they were mocked for their dress sense, Princess Eugenie said: “There was a horrible article that had been written about Beatrice and she got really upset.
“We were just about to step out and she had a bit of a wobble and cried. I was looking after her. And then about an hour later, I had a wobble and started crying and Bea was there for me.”
The article was written after they wore eccentric hats when the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge got married in 2011.
The full feature is in the September issue of Vogue, available on Friday.
