Princess Eugenie, 27, is to marry her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, 31, on Friday October 12 in St George’s Chapel, where Prince Harry and Meghan wed in May.

Harry and Meghan invited 2,640 members of the public to the castle grounds, including 1,200 who entered a ballot plus representatives of community groups and charities close to their hearts.

It is likely Eugenie and Jack will include a similar number.

Guests will listen to a live broadcast of the service before watching the bride and groom leave the chapel and, like Prince Harry and Meghan, embark on a short carriage procession on to Windsor High Street.

The second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, has been dating wine importer and former nightclub manager Jack for seven years since they met while skiing at the Swiss resort of Verbier.

Eugenie, who is eighth in line to the throne, said she cried when he went down on one knee to ask for her hand on holiday in Nicaragua in January.

She said the proposal was a “complete surprise” but the “perfect moment”.

Jack said it was “love at first sight”.
