The Duke of York revealed exclusive details of the route the carriage carrying the bride and grrom will take as is glides up and down some of the same cobbled Windsor streets as cousin Prince Harry’s did when he wed Meghan Markle.
The Duke of York’s website, which announced the date of the October 12 nuptials, also detailed the direction in which the newlyweds would travel in the carriage, giving royal fans an idea of the best spots around the town to greet them.
It read: “The attendees will view the arrival of the congregation and members of the Royal Family, listen to a live broadcast of the marriage service and watch as the bride and groom depart St George’s Chapel at the end of the ceremony.
“The newly married couple will then undertake a short carriage procession through part of Windsor High Street.
“The carriage will process through the grounds of Windsor Castle, departing via Castle Hill to proceed along part of the High Street before returning to the Castle via Cambridge Gate.”
The route is strikingly similar to the one Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, took when they wed at the same chapel on May 19 but shorter.
Also attending will be Eugenie’s family, including her mother Sarah Ferguson and older sister Princess Beatrice.
Other members of the Royal Family are also hotly tipped to attend the wedding at St George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, such as the Queen, Prince Philip, cousin Prince William with wife Kate and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
For Prince Harry and former Suit actress Meghan Markle, the event will no doubt give them the perfect opportunity to revisit memories from the day of their own wedding.
Meghan and Harry’s wedding saw a fairytale carriage procession, as the newly weds made their rounds around Windsor to greet royal fans.
However, Eugenie and Jack’s horse carriage will not be as elaborate as their royal counterparts.
The royal couple will have a much shorter ride than Meghan and Harry did, just half a mile long – equivalent to a ten minute walk.
Eugenie’s wedding is also not expected to have as big of a public turn out as Meghan and Harry’s, which saw more than 100,000 royal fans flock to Windsor for the ceremony.
