Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s daughters have spoken on how they fought over a pair of Converse trainers because they share the same shoe size.

Princess Beatrice, 29, said: “We have the same size feet and both of us had identical pairs.

“One pair got trashed and the other sister may have swapped them.”

But the Queen’s granddaughters describe each other as their “rocks” and Princess Beatrice will act as her younger sister’s maid of honour at her Windsor wedding in October.

The sisters first joint interview comes ahead of Eugenie’s Royal Wedding t fiancé Jack Brooksback later this year.

Princess Beatrice told fashion magazine Vogue: “Euge is amazing. She’s a very modern bride.”

And Eugenie insisted she was not a “bridezilla”, adding: “I’m not stressed at all. It’s nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect, but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”

Princess Eugenie, who works in an art gallery, told how her Royal Wedding will be plastic free – just like her home.

The decision is inspired by her work with environmental charity Project Zero, which is dedicated to protecting marine life.

She said: “My whole house is anti-plastic now and Jack and I want out wedding to be like that as well.”

In a wide-ranging interview, the royal sisters also opened up about the pressures of living under the spotlight and the abuse they receive.

Princess Eugenie revealed how she was reduced to tears when her elder sister was criticised for her outfit at Kate and William’s 2011 Royal Wedding.

She broke down at a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

Eugenie added: “There was a horrible article that had been written about Beatrice and she got really upset.

“We were just about to step out and she had a bit of a wobble and cried. I was looking after her.

“And then about an hour later, I had a wobble and started crying and Bea was there for me.”
