The Monarch is said to be fuming after discovering rumours that her husband had died were circulating on the internet.
The 97-year-old Duke had a planned hip operation in April, and there have been concerns over his health since.
It is unclear where the rumours began, but it seems they were totally unfounded.
Prince Philip is in good health and enjoying his retirement in Sandringham, Norfolk, in a cottage on the royal estate.
The Queen is on holiday in Balmoral, Scotland, where the 92-year-old usually spends her summers.
Prince Philip has not joined her this year, but the reason for that isn’t known.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “If he was ill, she would be with him instead of starting her Scottish holiday.
“In fact not only is he not ill, he is actually in fine form and is recovering well from his recent hip operation.”
The Queen and her husband are said to have discussed the rumours of his death on the phone, but agree there is little they can do.
The last time Philip stepped out was on June 24, when he joined the Queen for the Royal Windsor Cup polo match in Egham.
Prior to that, he joined the Queen was for the Royal Wedding on May 19.
He accompanied his wife as they watched their grandson Prince Harry marry the American actress Meghan Markle.
He looked frail but chipper as he arrived at St George’s wedding smiling at crowds who gathered to wave at the family.
The Queen, on the other hand, has been very active, attending the Royal Ascot, the Trooping of the Colour, and meeting US President Donald Trump, among plenty of other engagements.
However, neither the Queen nor Philip attended the christening of their third great-grandchild, Prince Louis, on July 9.
This surprising decision prompted health fears for the royal couple, but Buckingham Palace said the decision was made “some time ago” and not on health grounds.
There is said to be an upcoming party planned at Kensington Palace for their great-grandson, Prince George, who turns five today, so we may see the Queen and Prince Philip out to celebrate that.
Prince Philip retired from official duties on August 2, 2017.
One senior courtier said: “‘The Queen feels the Duke has earned a proper retirement.
“She knows him too well — if he was still at the centre of royal life he’d feel he had to be involved.”
