The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child will be nearly three-months-old by the time he is christened at the Chapel Royal in St James Palace on Monday July, 9.

Kate and Prince William’s baby son has not been seen in public since he was introduced to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing on April 23, when he was born weighing 8lb 7oz.

And like his brother and sister before him, Prince Louis’ baptism will be a small and intimate affair, with around 20 to 30 guests in attendance.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s christenings were private affairs, attended only by family members and close friends to the Royals.

PRINCE LOUIS CHRISTENING: ROYAL TRADITIONS KATE AND WILLIAM MUST FOLLOW

As well as catching a glimpse of Kate and William’s growing brood, royal fans can expect to see the Queen before she travels to Scotland for her annual summer break in August.

The 92-year-old great-grandmother will make the appearance despite recently taking ill and having to pull out of a service at St Paul’s Cathedral at the last minute.

It is unknown whether his great-grandfather Prince Philip, 97, will venture out for the occasion as he is rarely seen out in public anymore.

Grandfather Prince Charles will also be there with his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

One noticeable difference between Louis and Charlotte’s big day is that for the newborn prince, their uncle Prince Harry will be there.

When Charlotte was christened, Harry was off on a three month trip through Africa as part of his conservation work.

He joked at the time that he was a “bad uncle” for missing it, so there’s no doubt he’ll be there with new wife Meghan Markle.

On the Middleton side, Kate’s pregnant sister Pippa Matthews and her husband James Matthews, brother James and parents Carole and Michael Middleton will be in attendance.

Meanwhile, Prince Louis will also be joined by his new godparents.

The identity of the royal baby’s godparents is currently very much under wraps, but bookmakers have been busy predicting who it could be.

So far, Ladbrokes put Tiggy Legge-Bourke and Miguel Head with top odds, both at 2/1.

They are closely followed by Laura Lopes, daughter of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Rebecca Priestly, former private secretary to Kate Middleton.

They are at 3/1 and 4/1 odds respectively.

The christening will also mark the next event that new mum Kate is set to make an appearance at, after taking time off for maternity leave.

Duchess Kate, 37, is said to be enjoying a longer maternity leave after feeling like she went back to work too quickly with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
