The royal couple were all smiles as the posed for portraits to commemorate their their platinum anniversary.

They have the longest marriage in British royal history.

Mr Holyoak is one of the world’s leading portrait photographers and boasts work in The National Portrait Galley’s permanent collection.

The statement continued: “Matt Holyoak has established himself as one of the world’s leading portrait photographers. His love of portraiture started at art college, where he studied to be a fine artist, specialising in contemporary portrait painting and drawing.

“He then discovered his passion for photography and perfected his craft working in still life, fashion and portraiture.

“Matt has had a number of his pieces of work acquired by The National Portrait Gallery for their permanent collection, and has donated photographic prints to many exhibitions across the world.”

Mr Holyoak’s portfolio includes portraits of Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter, Sir Ian McKellen, Jude Law and Colin Firth.

Prince Louis will be christned this afternoon at the Chapel Royal of St James’s Palace.

Guests for this intimate ceremony include The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Mr and Mrs Michael Middleton, Mr and Mrs James Matthew, Mr James Middleton and the godparents and their spouses.

Prince Louis will be christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

This morning the Archbishop tweeted: “I’m delighted and privileged to be christening Prince Louis today – a precious child made in God’s image, just as we all are. Please join me in praying for him and his family on this special day.”

The new prince will wear the handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe, which is made by the Queen’s dressmaker Angela Kelly.

Following the service The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will host a private tea at Clarence House.

Photographer Jason Bell took the official photographs for Prince George’s christening in 2013.

For Princess Charlotte’s christening in 2015 The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had their official photos taken by Mario Testino.
