Royal fans will get a long-awaited glimpse of Prince William and Kate, the Duches of Sussex’s third child as he is christened at St James’s Palace on Monday, July 9.

The christening is likely to be a small affair for the prince, who was born on 11.01am on April 23, which is also St George’s Day.

He will be christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, at 4pm.

Royal babies are traditionally christened two or three months after their birth.

Prince George, who was born on July 22, 2013, was baptised three months and a day later on October 23.

George was also christened at the The Chapel Royal, in St James’s Palace, too.

While his little sister Princess Charlotte, who was born on May 2, 2015, was christened two months and three days later – on July 5.

She had her service at the church St Mary Magdalene, near the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

The royals traditionally visit the estate on Christmas Day every year – and is also where Princess Diana was christened too.

Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex was baptised and confirmed into the Church of England in a secret ceremony at The Chapel Royal.

Kensington Palace later confirmed the 45-minute ceremony had taken place, which was also presided over by the Archbishop.

There has also been speculation over what Kate will wear, as she wore exactly the same designers for the last two christenings.

For four-year-old Prince George’s christening, she wore a creamy white Alexander McQueen dress with ruffle detail.

When Princess Charlotte, 3, was christened, Kate wore exactly the same combination of milliner, dress designer and shoe designer.

Which Royals will attend the christening?

There are 24 titled members of the British royal family, but all are reportedly not to receive an invitation to Louis’ special day.

Bride-to-be Princess Eugenie is not expected to be in attendance, neither will any other royals, unless named as godparents.
