Louis, the fifth in line to the throne, was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, at The Chapel Royal of St James’s Palace, London, this afternoon.
The Queen, 92 and Prince Philip, 97, did not attend the 40-minute ceremony but Kensington Palace stressed the reason was unrelated to health concerns.
A smiling Kate, wearing a ivory dress and matching hat, arrived with her youngest child asleep in her arms.
Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, three, attended in adorable outfits.
Louis worse a replica of the Royal Christening Robe, the original of which was first worn by Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter in 1841.

ToggleWhen was Prince Louis born? How long between his birth and christening?
Prince Louis Arthur Charles Cambridge was born on April 23, 2018, also known as St George’s Day.
His christening was on July 9, making it 11 weeks since he was born.
The young prince was said to be on his best behaviour with the duchess describing him as “very relaxed and peaceful” to the Archbishop.
She added with a smile: “I hope he stays like this.”
The occasion marked the first public appearance of Louis since he left the Lindo Wing a few hours after he was born.
Pictures showed he had long, dark eyelashes, a button nose and a layer of fine hair over his head.
In May The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also released official photos of the Prince Louis, including one with his sister Princess Charlotte for her third birthday.
Did Meghan and Harry attend Prince Louis’ christening?
Prince Harry attended along with his wife, Meghan, who looked stylish in an olive green Ralph Lauren dress.
They were not named as Prince Louis’ godparents however.
That honour went to six guests including former party animal Guy Pelly, nicknamed the “court jester” by his close friends Princes William and Harry.
Also named were family friend Nicholas van Cutsem and Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, who went to Ludgrove School and Eton with William.
Lady Laura Meade, who is married to William’s close friend James Meade, was another godparent.
The other two selected persons were Kate’s Marlborough schoolfriend Hannah Carter and the duchess’s cousin Lucy Middleton.
Who else was at the christening?
The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also at the royal baptism.
The duchess’ pregnant sister, Pippa, came along with her husband James Matthews.
Pippa, who sported a small baby bump, is expecting her first child with her husband this autumn.
