The Duke of Edinburgh has an uncanny resemblance to his grandson, Harry, after a resurfaced photo of the Duke from the 1950s emerged, when the Queen’s husband was just in his early thirties, showing how similar the two really are.
The pair share the same strong jawline, hair colour, deep blue eyes and a wide beaming smile.
Harry and Philip have also served in the British Royal Army, sharing a deep sense of patriotism and love for to their country.
As well as that, the grandfather and grandson duo also share similar humour, and are known to be very tongue-in-cheek, according to royal spectators.
The Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of Sussex appeared to have shared similarities from as young as the age of two, as pictures show the royals having a similar charming smile and striking gaze.
Prince Philip has became a godfather yet again, adding to his array of more than 50 godchildren, after he was seen traveling into a helicopter to make a 200-mile journey from his Sandringham abode to Romsey in Hampshire to see his six-month old grandchild, Inigo Hooper.
He walked her mother, Alexandra Hooper, down the aisle when she married her husband, Thomas at the abbey in June 2016.
The Duke of Edinburgh has now retired from royal duties, and lives in his quiet Sandringham retreat where he spends most of his days.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry, 33, just returned back to the UK from Dublin with his wife, Meghan Markle, 36, on their first overseas visit as a married couple.
The pair are expected to make a trip to Balmoral castle for a summer retreat holiday to see the Queen, following Meghan’s 37th birthday celebrations and friend Charlie van Straubenzee’s wedding this weekend.
The trip is set to mark the Duchess of Sussex’s debut at Balmoral, located by the River Dee and previously acquired by Queen Victoria in 1852.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to head to Australia later this for the Invictus games, as part of their official world tour.
