Pippa is expecting her first child with husband James Matthews, but whether or not they have a boy or a girl will have to remain under wraps until their baby is born.

James’ brother, Spencer, recently revealed details of his sister-in-law’s secretive pregnancy.

While appearing on the UK talk show This Morning the conversation topic swiftly turned to his future niece or nephew.

The show’s host Ruth Langsford asked: “And your brother is about to become a dad as well a little but after you with Pippa Middleton.

“So do they know if they’re having a boy or a girl?”

Spencer replied: “They don’t. They’re extremely private and honestly, we know nothing.”

The Duchess of Cambridge also kept the details of the sex of all three other children a secret.

Royal traditions dictate that royal parents do not get to know the sex of their child until it is born.

Kate has been there for her little sister from the beginning.

Pippa and Kate shared a joint pregnancy, as it is understood the pair were both pregnant at the same time for 12 weeks before Kate went into labour with her third child, Prince Louis.

At the time Prince Louis was born, Pippa is believed to have been three months pregnant, as she watched her sister care for the new Royal Family addition.

Pippa has been seen sporting her new baby bump at several events, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding at St James Palace in Windsor earlier in May this year.

She married hedge fund manager James in May 2017, and announced her pregnancy just hours before Kate went into labour with Prince Louis this year.

The English socialite was spotted wearing Seraphine, a celebrity maternity wear brand on several occasions, taking tips from the Duchess herself who dressed in the label during all three of her pregnancies.

Pippa’s West London home is located just a few miles from Kate’s residence at Kensington Palace, making it easier for their children to bond and become a close-knit family.

Because of their close bond, Kate is expected to help Pippa adjust to motherhood and offer all sorts of baby tips on clothing, food and what it is like to be a first-time mum.

Kate and Pippa’s babies will be born just six months apart and the pair are expected to create a close bond between their children, emulating their tight-knit sisterly relationship, according to Hello Magazine.
