A passenger on her Air Canada flight had a delightful surprise when they found themselves sitting on the same flight as Meghan.
Meghan made an effort to blend in with her fellow passengers and drew as little attention to herself as possible.
She dressed in skinny black jeans, a black cashmere sweater, black ballerina flats and a black baseball cap pulled down over her face.
It would have been difficult for her to have completely hidden her identity as she is now one of the most well-recognised people in the world after her royal wedding to Prince Harry on May 19 attracted a peak audience of 13.1 million.
Her attempt to remain hidden was doomed to fail as she was escorted by secret service agents.
However, a source speaking anonymously to Royal Central said the Duchess was relaxed and low key.
The source said: “Meghan was lovely.
“She had two secret service guys with her, but it was all very low key.
“Meghan had one glass of champagne before settling down to watch Book Club.
“She seemed very relaxed and sipped on peppermint tea during the journey.”
Meghan, who called Toronto home while filming the hit TV series Suits, slipped off to visit her friend Jessica Mulroney, a fashion stylist.
Good Morning America’s royal correspondent Omid Scobie said: “Sources exclusively confirm to @ABC @GMA that Duchess Meghan quietly travelled to Toronto last Tuesday for a three-day stay at the family home of close friends Jessica and Ben Mulroney.”
The trip was her first solo trip since marrying Prince Harry.
Her schedule is packed with official engagements beginning on September 4
She will attend the Well Child Awards and then on September 6 will head to the 100 Days to Peace Gala, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
