Royal commentator Angela Levin, author of a new biography on Prince Harry, said the Duchess of Sussex is stunned and worried about her father’s next move.
Speaking to news.com.au, Ms Levin said: “It must be desperately upsetting to Meghan, who i think is a very good actor at putting on a good face, but she must be very hurt.
“She was very close to her father and she did want him to walk her own the aisle.
“For him to do that has made her speechless psychologically and physically – she can’t say anything to him now.”
Ms Levin predicts the tension between the Duchess of Sussex and her family isn’t going to go away.
She said: “I think it will be an ongoing issue.
“The half-brother and sister seem to imagine the nastier they are about her, the more likely she will come back and be a part of their family.
“But it doesn’t work like that, does it?”
The Royal expert said: “I think they will spout at every possible occasion and if Samantha goes into Celebrity Big Brother then goodness knows what she will say”.
Ms Levin added the Duchess of Sussex is unlikely to feel comfortable sharing personal information, such as any baby plans she has with Prince Harry, with her father Thomas Markle.
She criticised Mr Markle saying “to talk about Harry’s private conversations about President Trump and Brexit was very wrong”.
During an interview on Good Morning Britain Mr Markle claimed his daughter is “terrified” by her new role and Princess Diana would have “loathed” the way he’s being treated.
Mr Markle also attacked the Royal Family as an “ancient institution, stuck in its ways” and compared it to a “Monty Python sketch” during another recent interview.
He added his daughter has a “sense of superiority”.
Mr Markle didn’t attend his daughter’s wedding in Windsor on May 19 as he was recovering from heart surgery.
Before the wedding there was controversy after he admitted to staging photographs with the paparazzi.
