The Duchess of Sussex admits she is a fan of the noughties American cheerleader movie Bring It On.
The film came out in 2000 and stars a very young Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, Jesse Bradford and Gabrielle Union.
In the 37-year-old’s lifestyle blog The Tig she spoke about how much she loved the film.
Bring It On is about a national champion high school cheerleading team that discovers how their old captain stole their cheer routines from an inner-city school and rival team in their town.
Both cheerleading teams then have to go head-to-head at that year’s championships.
The new royal met actress Gabrielle Union, who played rival head cheerleader Isis, at a New York fashion week event for Prada.
Meghan admitted her heart “will always think fondly of her days in the cheerleading guilty pleasure Bring It On”.
She also praised Gabrielle for being “gracious, funny and refreshingly real”.
Gabrielle has also starred in Bad Boys II, Think Like A Man, 10 Things I Hate About You and Being Mary Jane.
The actress is married to NBA star Dwyane Wade and was interviewed by the Duchess for her blog.
Meghan shut down The Tig, affectionally named after her favourite wine Tiganello, in April last year as her relationship continued to blossom with her now-husband Prince Harry.
She signed off after dedicating three years to the blog by thanking her followers for their support.
She wrote: “After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig.
“What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.”
